Professor Seal – RubberCoat Eco is based on modified styrene butadiene latex. It is supplied as ready to use bonding agent in liquid form. It is used for repair and waterproofing of columns, beams, chajjas, slab & waterproofing of wet areas and small terraces. It bonds strongly to old as well as new concrete and to plasters. It reduces shrinkage, prevents cracking & improves abrasion resistance.

Description

Areas of Applications:

  • Concrete repair – spalled concrete, beams, columns, chajjas, slabs, parapet walls.
  • Waterproofing – sunken portions of toilets and bathrooms, small roof terraces, chajjas, lift pits, balconies.
  • External rendering.
  • Fare facing slurry coat – For pinhole treatment and fare facing of concrete surface.
  • As a bonding agent – For bonding of new concrete to old concrete, plastering.

Application Method:

  1. Mechanically clean the surface to remove all loose particles, dirt, oil, grease etc. Vacuum cleaning or using oil free compressed air to remove any loose material generated during mechanical cleaning.
  2. For waterproofing – Mix Professor Seal – RubberCoat Eco with cement in ratio of 1:1.5 by weight and apply in 2 coats. The application area shall be covered with a protective screed.
  3. For making repair mortar – Mix Professor Seal – RubberCoat Eco at 10-15% by weight of cement in 1:3 cement-fine sand mix for use as repair mortar along with 18-22% water by weight of cement to a workable consistency.
  4. As screed concrete – Mix Professor Seal – RubberCoat Eco 10-15% by weight of cement to a screed concrete of proportion- 1:1.5:1.5 (cement: sand: 4-8 mm aggregates) along with 20% water by cement weight. Mix the content to uniform consistency using a site concrete mixer.
  5. As bonding agent in repair – Mix Professor Seal – RubberCoat Eco with cement in 1:1 ratio by weight & apply on pre-wetted substrate. Overlay repair mortar when this coat is tacky.
