Application Areas:
- For filling cracks of upto 5 mm in width on internal and external plastered masonry walls.
Application Guideline:
A] Surface Preparation
- Surface must be free from dust, oils, grease, and loose particles. Moisten the surface before applying Prof. Seal – CrackPlug.
- Fine hair line cracks must be widened up to 1 mm minimum using scrapper and then filled
- For filling Professor Seal – CrackPlug on the internal surface, existing POP or painter’s putty must be removed till plaster surface is exposed.
- For porous surfaces, apply primer coat prepared with Prof. Seal – CrackPlug and water in 1:1 proportion over the crack.
- Fill Professor Seal – CrackPlug when the surface is tacky and not dried completely.
B] Application:
- Work Professor Seal – CrackPlug firmly into the crack with spatula or putty knifes and level smooth with surface.
- Care must be taken to avoid voids or bubbles during application process.
- Allow it set for 24 hours and then apply another coat of Prof. Seal – CrackPlug.
- Further finishes may be applied once it is fully dry.
- For better results allow Prof. Seal – CrackPlug to cure for 7 days after final coat application.
C] Precautions:
- Should not be used for cracks more than 5 mm wide.
- Not for application in cracks in structural members, expansion joints & separation gaps.
- Not for cracks in gypsum plaster or painter’s putty.
- For application below 100C, drying time will be delayed.
